TKLab (the “Operator”) handles information relating to users of the iOS/iPadOS application “Beyond the Frame” (the “App”) as described below.
1. Data Handled by the App
The App handles photos selected or taken by the user, titles, back-story text, creation dates, display settings, font settings, and other data required for the App to function.
2. Where Card Data Is Stored
Card photos, titles, stories, and dates are stored on the user's device and synchronized through the App's iCloud private database associated with the user's own Apple Account. The App does not use a public database or shared database for card content.
3. TKLab Access
TKLab does not operate its own server or administrative console for viewing or retrieving individual photos, titles, stories, or other card content. TKLab does not access individual data stored in a user's iCloud private database.
4. iCloud Synchronization
- Data may synchronize automatically across supported devices using the same Apple Account.
- Sync requires iCloud to be enabled for the App, sufficient iCloud storage, connectivity, and other Apple service conditions.
- Sync timing is managed by Apple services; immediate upload or download after saving is not guaranteed.
- Data saved while offline remains on the device and is uploaded when conditions allow.
- Deleting a card in the App also synchronizes that deletion to iCloud and other devices using the same Apple Account.
- iCloud sync is not a versioned backup. Device-only data that has not yet uploaded may be unrecoverable.
5. Photos and Camera
The App uses iOS/iPadOS photo-selection features and the camera to select or capture photos. The operating system requests camera permission when needed. The App does not modify or overwrite the original image in the user's Photos library.
6. TKLab Accounts
No TKLab account registration or sign-in is required. iCloud synchronization uses the Apple Account and iCloud settings configured on the user's device.
7. Tracking and Analytics
The App does not use advertising tracking. TKLab does not use an external analytics SDK to collect users' photos, card content, or behavioral analytics.
8. Apple Services
Apple may process information in connection with iCloud, the App Store, photo selection, and other Apple-provided services. Such processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy and applicable terms.
9. Disclosure to Third Parties
Except where required by law, TKLab does not disclose individual card content to third parties.
10. Deletion or Loss of Data
Deleting a card inside the App synchronizes the deletion through iCloud to other devices. Data may become unavailable due to device loss, failure, reset, Apple Account or iCloud-setting changes, deleting the App before sync completes, or other circumstances. TKLab does not guarantee complete preservation, synchronization, or recovery of data.
11. Changes to This Policy
TKLab may update this Policy in response to changes in law, App functionality, or Apple services. Material changes will be announced on this site or in the App.
